Our Holiday in the Sun

We had the most wonderful time in California at Julie and John's home.
It was a much needed break from our regular routine, and a much needed break from
the snow. Winter has lasted 7 months for us...about 6 weeks longer than what is considered normal. It was almost devastating to come home and find that it was snowing.
It has snowed everyday since we've been back, with the exception of
today. It is forcasted to snow again tomorrow. UUGH!
Praise the Lord for He knows what is needed for our land.
Enough about the weather...we had a terrific time visiting with family. Our time together
was memorable and precious. Julie and John have a beautiful home. Julie has a knack for decorating that makes you feel so welcome. Her home is inviting, comfortable, and beautiful. It is such a reflaction of Julie. She has an ability to make you feel so special, and her home is an envelope of that warmth. Thanks Sis for your hospitality.
Their children are beautiful. Maddie is such a little spark plug! I love listening to her laugh. Davis is darling, and is so fun. Emma is sweet.
I loved listening to and watching our kids play together. For the most part there were very few squabbles. Probably the biggest stress was the toys that were thrown over the fence
into the neighbors yard. Oops!
It was a whirlwind of a trip. We got to see and experience so many things. We are thankful to John for being our tour guide. We needed someone to take charge, and he was the perfect host. One night we stayed up watching some video clips, and laughed a lot.
I love watching John laugh hard. His laugh is contagious. It was such a fun night.
It had been too long since we had all been together. 20 months is a long time. We can't let that happen again. We just need to be creative in our getting together.
I could write volumes about our trip and our family time together. That would take far too long, so I'll add a few pictures to give you a glimpse of our holiday in the sun.

This was Zach's first flight. The last time Natalie flew, she was 9 months old.
