Tubing

One of the joys of living where there is snow, is the fun that we can have outside. This weekend, my friend, Kelly, invited us to her parents farm to go tubing. Her dad bought a large tube, tied a strap around it and hooked it up to the back of his truck. He then pulled everyone around his yard, and out onto the field. Such fun!

Zach and Nat waiting for their first turn.

Darren had been out for a round already...I love the icicles on his eyelashes!

Getting ready for the first run.

This is run #2 or #3. Zach only went once and Natalie only hung in there for 2 or 3 rides. Emily, on the other hand, couldn't get enough.

Lots of powder.

Reloading with just the girls.

This is my favorite picture. I love the barn in the background. Here is with Ryan, Darren and all of the kids.

Natalie kept her hand over her face and peeked every few seconds!

Hey Mom!

Hey Mom! I hung up the rub-on that you gave me. I was going to put it on the wall over the stairs, but it was too hard to get it centered and level. So, I decided to put it over the door instead. What do you think?

I might buy some flourishes and add them to help frame it a little. I'm not sure about that yet.

I just LOVE it!

Thanks Mom!

Random Things

Natalie has lost her first tooth. Don't know when. Don't know where. Don't know how. But it's lost.

Encouragement?

Julie got me hooked on a blog by a lady named Ree Drummond also known as the "Pioneer Woman" (www.pioneerwoman.com). I find her to be so real, so funny, and I understand some of what her life entails. These pictures made my day! Be sure to read the captions under the pictures...they sure make me laugh!

The First Snow

Well, it was inevitable that the snow was going to eventually fall.
Today was our first snow day, much to the kids delight!
Here are some pictures of their adventures.

For those of you who enjoy much sunshine, enjoy a little snow.

Ballet, Soccer, and Canadian Thanksgiving

Our Ballerina.

Emily has been playing soccer this fall. I don't think that they have lost a game this year. It's starting to get really cold. But it's hard to believe that only a week before this picture was taken, it was warm enough for shorts, tee shirts and flipflops.

She isn't half bad...she just has a tendency to be afraid that the ball is going to hit her in the face.

So, on Monday, it is Canadian Thanksgiving. The kids didn't have school this afternoon, and we went for a walk on the nature trail. I took the time to take some pictures of them, and some of them turned out pretty ok.

First Day of Pre-K

My little boy started pre-k on September 15. I still am surprised at how much I cried. Isn't he cute!
